The R1 and R2 brushes are made from Pure Kolinsky Sable. Kolinsky Sable is the best hair available for the manufacture of artist brushes due to being conical in shape, strong in character with a long tapered point and thick belly.

The R4 is made from the new Red Dot Collection (synthetic Kolinsky Sable), which makes them 100% Synthetic and Vegan friendly. This brush is a size 1/4".  The Red Collection is a synthetic fibre like no other. A synthetic fibre to replicate Sable like never before.  With all the qualities of natural hair but 100% synthetic. This range is so exciting for Rosemary & Co!

The Sable blend dagger is very adaptable and can be used to create long flowing lines. When pressure is applied and the brush is 'twisted' through the stroke you can see oriental grass appear as well as petals.

A mixture of sable and synthetic(nylon) mixed together will offer the best of both worlds. Sable holds the liquid/pigment and the synthetic offers spring and durability.  A good all rounder for Watercolours, Oils and Acrylics.  

The R19's are made in a jumbo size 12.  The biggest travel brush from this series.

I simply love these travel brushes! They now get used in my home studio as well. The sizing is similar to Princeton Neptune brushes. The R1 (size 6) is softer though and holds way more water and paint than the Neptune equivalent. The R12 Red dot was also part of my purchase. Great for washes if you’re not a fan of mop brushes (I hate how the paint gets stuck under the plastic in mop brushes). Last but not least, I also purchased the R12. It’s similar in size to the R1 (length of the brush) but a sable. Lovely for spontaneous brush strokes. -I have to add that the shipping was quick and the packaging recycled. Thank you Natasha! It’s great to deal with someone local that takes care, ads a kind note and sells these at such reasonable prices. Not my last order. That’s for sure.
